Kfar HaHoresh
Kfar HaHoresh is a kibbutz that is located near Nazareth in northern Israel. A kibbutz is similar to a moshav except that unlike the moshav, where the property is held privately, the property is generally owned by the kibbutz. Kfar HaHoresh was founded in 1933 by members of the Gordonia youth movement; the land had been purchased by the Jewish National Fund.
Note that the pictures in the gallery below were taken when the grove was first planted. we are planning on updating these pictures in the late spring of 2010 to show the growth that has taken place since. Pictures of the grove will be updated annually in our gallery.
Moshav Mehora
Moshav Mehora is an Israeli settlement located in the West Bank and the Jordan Valley. A moshav is a cooperative Israeli village or settlement comprised of small farms where the property is privately held. Moshav Mehora was originally founded in 1973 and is located in the region that is considered to be part of ancient Gilgal where Joshua crossed the Jordan River (Joshua 4). My Olive Tree is honored to be taking root in this special area of Israel.
