Israel has just entered the new year of 5776–a Jubilee year and therefore a Jubilee Sukkot which only occurs once every 50 years!

5776 is very significant because it is the 70th Jubilee year since Joshua and Caleb crossed the Jordan River!

According to Hebrew numerology, 7 signifies perfection or completion in both the spiritual and natural realms. God created all things in 7 days. There are 7 days each week and the Sabbath is on the 7th day.

“And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his possession, and each of you shall return to his family.” —Leviticus 25.8-10

5776 Jubilee Year

Sukkot, which is commonly referred to as the Feast of Tabernacles, is a seven night festival that commemorates the Israelites journey in the desert. It is one of the three pilgrim feasts when all Jewish men were required to journey to Jerusalem and bring an offering to the Lord. During this week long celebration families commemorate this time by building and dwelling in temporary shelters as their ancestors would have done in the wilderness. These shelters, or booths, remind us of God’s protection and provision.

All the feasts are associated with a promise from God. The promise for the Feast of Tabernacles is the gift of rain, which is symbolic of provision.

“And it shall come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of hosts, on them there will be no rain.”—Zechariah 14:16-17

Because we grow our olive trees in the desert we know about the importance of rain and provision! And our trees are actually helping with this process as they bid the rain to come! The more we plant the more the atmosphere changes and we become witnesses of the desert “blossoming”—not just with olive trees and vineyards but also with rain!

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
