Olive Trees and the Golan Heights | Extend an Olive Branch

Perhaps you have heard someone say, “I’m extending an olive branch.” Do you know where this well-known saying originated? It came from the Biblical story of Noah when the dove brought back an olive branch to the ark. It signified the waters had receded, and restoration was underway. As a result, the olive tree has long been a sign of peace.

In the Bible, the olive tree also represents…

There is a purpose behind planting olive trees right outside the Golan Heights. It is a spiritual and covenant act that…

Covenant Acts of Planting an Olive Tree

Now more than ever, the act of planting an olive tree just beyond the borders of the Golan Heights is a covenant act that comes into agreement with God’s Word—that the land of the Golan Heights belongs to Israel.

“There's a saying in Israel,” says Curt Landry. “‘In the olive grove is where we work in unity.’ That's why the saying is ‘extending an olive branch,’ because we all work there. We all need olive oil—for our food, for our anointing oil. Olive oil is considered L'chaim—in Hebrew, the oil of life. It's where peace comes from.”

Recently, Charisma Magazine published a story about My Olive Tree’s efforts to…

To do this, My Olive Tree has partnered with leaders such as Mike Lindell and Pastor Ramiro Peña to honor President Donald Trump’s bold act to stand with Israel and his declaration that…

“I have listened to politicians for years, and they all make political promises,” Landry says. “… [But] when Donald Trump recognized the sovereignty of the Golan Heights, I was actually in Israel, in meetings that involved Prime Minister Netanyahu and some other dignitaries. Everybody was blown away. Everyone said, ‘This is incredible to have this recognition.’”

My Olive Tree is also partnering with Christians across the nation and the world to echo the president’s honor of the Holy Land by planting olive trees just outside of Trump Heights in the Golan Heights region.

When You Sponsor an Olive Tree…

“… When you plant an olive tree, you're honoring not only the people but God's boundaries, covenant and land. You're saying, ‘I agree with what the Bible says.’”—Curt Landry

Landry’s passion for the mission of My Olive Tree comes out of his own radical testimony and life experiences, which planted the initial seeds. Landry spoke to Charisma Digital about his supernatural encounter with God, his relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the significance of U.S. President Donald Trump’s foreign policy with Israel.”—Charisma Magazine

Extending an Olive Branch to and for the People of Israel

Read what Curt Landry told Charisma Magazine about his conversation with Benjamin Netanyahu in 2004…

“…he remembers Netanyahu asking him, ‘Why do you do this?’ Landry replied, ‘Two days ago I was in Tiberias, Israel, where our ministry supports an after-school program for children in need. We went there and delivered soccer balls, a new oven, some toys, food and essentials blankets and sheets. There were two little girls there, ages 5 and 7. One grabbed my leg on one side, and one grabbed my leg on the other. And in their broken English they said to me, ‘Are you going to come back?’ That's all they wanted to know: ‘Are you coming back?’ I said, ‘Yes, I'm coming back.’ And they thanked me in Hebrew. They can't come into your office and ask you for help—the structure just is not there. But they can grab onto my leg and ask me, and … I'm here on their behalf. This is real grassroots.” (emphasis added)

This is also the story of those who sponsor olive trees in Israel.

You are…

“‘On that day I will raise up

the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,

and repair its damages;

I will raise up its ruins,

and rebuild it as in the days of old;

that they may possess the remnant of Edom,

and all the Gentiles who are called by My name,’

says the Lord who does this thing.”

—Amos 9:11-12

The Golan Heights Project

The project of sponsoring trees in this highly contested area brings honor to our president and positions you to have a voice.

The Golan Heights area is highly sought after. Whoever controls the Golan Heights controls Israel. It is the high place that overlooks the nation and provides a strategic military vantage point to those who occupy it.

The act of sponsoring olive trees brings safety to the borders of Israel and the United States. The two nations work closely to develop military intelligence and technology that secures the border of both countries. This honorable act encourages the president, Israel, and the world. They need to hear a voice that stands for what is right and true.

Will you be that voice?
