My Olive Tree Golden Jubilee Planting 5776

We have begun the Jewish Year 5776—an extremely significant year as it is a Jubilee year and the 70th Jubilee year since Joshua and Caleb crossed the Jordan River!

According to Hebrew numerology, the number 7 is symbolic of perfection or completion, both in the natural and spiritual realms. God created the world in seven days. There seven days in a week, with the Sabbath falling on the seventh day. The number 6 is associated with mankind and human weakness, as God created man on the sixth day. Therefore, 5776 is going to be a year for our weaknesses to be exposed but for God’s perfection to shine through and save us through His grace.

Even more special was the recent blood moons that have received so much publicity. The last blood moon coincided perfectly with the end of the Shmita year 5775 and the beginning of the new Jubilee year. What an amazing symbol heading into such a special year.

Simply put, this is an exciting year for us at My Olive Tree. Therefore, we’re doing a few special things to mark the beginning of this important Jubilee year.

First, we are sponsoring a large number of trees specifically for a 5776 Jubilee planting. We are quite literally putting our roots deep into the soil of the Holy Land, continuing to bless Israel in so many ways.

Second, we are giving the gift of a ram’s horn from Israel to those who support us with such a Jubilee sponsorship. Ram’s horn shofars were used in ancient times as trumpets, which were blown to announce the beginning of the Sabbath and various Jewish holidays. They were also used to coronate kings and rally people to battle. These shofars we are sending to our donors have all been handmade in Israel, and every single one has its own unique, beautiful design.

We sincerely hope that can you join us in our efforts to make this Jubilee year extra special for My Olive Tree. Contact us today for more information about how you can sponsor a tree and help us in our efforts to bless the Nation of Israel.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
