The challenge many Christians face today is finding their place in God’s restorative work in Israel. They watch the news, witness biblical prophecy unfolding in front of their eyes, and desire to be a part of God’s prophetic fulfillment.

It seems that every side has a personal agenda instead of being unified in the biblical principle of bringing hope to the hurting. But there is a bigger part—the part that separates you from others in the world, the part that knows of the challenges, the unfairness, and the deception that is stacked up against the nation of Israel that cannot be quieted. Once the truth is known, it cannot be unknown.

The Bitan Family
In October 2018, we were honored to meet the Bitan family, whichlives just three miles from the Gaza Strip in Israel. Unfortunately, they have witnessed balloon bombs landing near their home, and are no strangers to the whistling sounds of rockets fired near their fields.
The Bitan family has three generations living on their moshav. After buying the land and moving there in the 1940s, they planted beautiful, vibrant flowers that were primarily sold to vendors in Europe.
Sadly, due to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, their farm has been boycotted. The once lush land now stands desolate and dry. And they began losing hope.
When we stood on one of their open fields near the Gaza Strip, the wind blew, and dust filled the air. The smell of dirt was unmistakable, but we could almost detect the fragrance of flowers as we imagined what the moshav looked like in full bloom.
This family, nearly bankrupt and searching for a miracle, still held tight to the promises of God and the hope of the Messiah. Mr. Bitan explained that it had been his father’s dream to make pure olive oil that would be used in the Temple in the future.
This miracle is in fulfillment now! And you can still be a part of it!
God has shown them favor with an opportunity of restoring their land, and He invites you to be a part of the fulfillment. The ground that once anxiously awaited a harvest is beginning to grow and produce fruit. The expert knowledge the family has fine-tuned from years of planting and harvesting is finally being released again through the olive tree!
There is still time to be a part of this miracle!
The significance of the land…
The Bitans’ moshav rests in an area of the Negev Desert near Nahal Gerar. What makes this significant? This is the location through which Abraham journeyed and lived thousands of years ago.
“And Abraham journeyed from there to the South, and dwelt betweenKadesh and Shur, andstayed in Gerar.”—Genesis 20:1
Mr. Bitan explains the location is “the place where Abraham goes with the sheep, along with Isaac and Jacob.”
We know that God orchestrates all things to work together for those who love Him and are called according to His purposes. The Bitan family’s story is a perfect depiction of His timeless hand resting upon Israel and inviting Believers to be a part of it all.
