Olive Oil and Skin Care

A common complaint from people who experience sudden growth during puberty, rapid weight gain, or pregnancy, is stretch marks! No one wants to talk about it, but it is Olive Oil and Skin Caresomething that many of us struggle with.

We will go out of our way to find products that promise to decrease the appearance of stretch marks, and can easily pay upwards of $50 for a small bottle of a “salon quality” miracle cure.

Remarkably, the cure for stretch marks is closer than you think! Olive oil has been found to help naturally heal your skin and could even PREVENT stretch marks that can occur during pregnancy!

Stretch marks appear as lines when the upper surface of the skin expands beyond its ability, and can even appear simply in areas of skin that are lacking key vitamins. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E—a nutrient known for its important connection to healthy skin!

Olive oil is also full of antioxidants. By spreading oxygen and vitamin E over scars, the skin softens, and over time scarring begins to fade and lighten naturally.

Olive oil helps prevent stretch marks as it lubricates the skin and helps the skin expand without tearing. This also decreases the uncomfortable stretching feeling that many expectant mothers feel during the final months of pregnancy.

We recommend using lukewarm olive oil and massaging it over the areas of concern. Leave the oil on the skin for at least one hour to allow for increased blood circulation, and time for the skin to absorb the vitamins.

Olive oil is one of nature’s gifts to us!

It is not just for stretch marks! Olive oil makes a great natural lubricant for dry skin—especially skin that has been baking in the sun or dried out in the winter months!

If you are looking for a natural moisturizer rather than a chemical-laden lotion, give olive oil a try!

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
