Many people ask us WHY we at My Olive Tree stand by and desire to bless the nation of Israel—why we plant trees and vineyards in the Holy Land. While there are many paths we take to bless Israel and her land, the heart behind the work is simple; we, ordinary people, have been called by God to something extraordinary, just as He has called YOU, His sons and daughters.
God is Restoring the Daughter of Zion
God’s inspiring words in scripture point to Israel’s restoration and redemption. The text is clear that Israel, the apple of His eye, will bloom, flourish and be blessed by Believers.
“For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: ‘The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is my covenant with them, when I take away their sins.'” –Romans 11:25-27
God’s restorative plan WILL prevail. The question is… What part do YOU want in His plan?
Sadly, many today are misinformed of God’s divine intention for His people. While the Church has a special place in God’s heart, it will never replace His first love. As Gentile Believers, we have been blessed by God to be grafted into the covenant that God made with the Jewish patriarch Abraham and all of His descendants after him
“…at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenant of promises… For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation…so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,” –Ephesians 2:12, 14, 15
Answering the Call
The concept of My Olive Tree was born out of a longing to stand continually with Israel. We knew this was a vision that would take us on a journey only God could lead. We did not want to simply provide short term solutions to issues of economic struggle, poverty, pain, and hunger. To answer this call for the long-term, we knew that it would take a commitment of sustainability, one that would last over time, step-by-step, inch-by-inch.
My Olive Tree encourages the sponsorship of olive trees throughout the nation of Israel to help boost Israel’s agricultural economy, providing jobs through continued annual harvests. The Lord’s work is always multidimensional and He works all things “together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose”. (Romans 8:28)
With this truth in mind, we came to understand that not only would My Olive Tree projects provide economic growth and sustainability, but would actually fulfill biblical prophecy as stated in Amos 9:13-15 and Isaiah 35:1! Won’t you partner with us?!
“‘Behold the days are coming,’ says the Lord… ‘The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, and all the hills shall flow with it. I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; they shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; they shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land and no longer shall they be pulled up from the land I have given them,’ says the Lord your God.”–Amos 9:13-15
“The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.” –Isaiah 35:1
Sowing and Reaping
We want you to be sure that when you sow your seed into My Olive Tree that we are bearing good and healthy spiritual fruit in the Holy Land. Our ministry desires to bring dignity and empowerment to the people of Israel by providing assistance in various ways. One hundred percent of My Olive Tree’s harvests remain with the farmers to help bless them and promote the agricultural industry and economy. A minimum of 10% of these harvests proceeds are donated annually into humanitarian-aid projects that benefit God’s chosen people, and beyond.
Your contribution to the land always includes irrigation, a highly prized commodity in this desert region. While this seems like an obvious necessity in order to maintain the tree’s health and growth, My Olive Tree is one of the few tree-planting organizations in the land of Israel who provides care through the seven-year maturation process of the olive tree.
Through your sponsorships you will be a part of prophetic fulfillment of God’s personal work. You are a part of a larger whole that is stepping out in faith, cleansing and restoring the land. Through your contribution you become a part of a life-giving solution.
An old Jewish saying says this, “Plant a vineyard for your son and olive tree for grandson.” This saying reflects the great design of God’s vision for sustainability, not just for the Church, but for the nation of Israel as well.
