What Does it Mean to Sponsor an Olive Tree or Grapevine?
It means you are sponsoring a tree or grapevine in the Holy Land soil, creating a way for your cause, voice, and beliefs to be physically tied to the land of Israel. “Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying, ‘Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars, and I alone am left, and they seek my life’?
“But what does the divine response say to him? ‘I have reserved for Myself seven thousand men who have not bowed the knee to Baal.’ Even so then, at this present time, there is a remnant according to the election of grace.”—Romans 11:1-5

For if their being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead?”—Romans 11:11-15

- Sponsorships help secure the Gaza Strip. Israelis and Arabs have been fighting over the Gaza Strip for decades. The economic culture in the Gaza Strip is weak, but in an effort to strengthen Israel, the United States has worked hard to settle the fighting between the Arabs and Israelis. Efforts are now being made to support economic growth and stability in this area with various olive tree sponsorships.
- Sponsorships recognize Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights. In March 2019, President Trump announced America’s recognition of Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights. Though Trump’s announcement hasn’t settled the matter for all parties, it has given Israel hope that restoration and sovereignty are possible in this highly contested area. My Olive Tree has recently finished a project of planting a grove to honor President Trump’s bold move. This grove sits just below the Golan Heights region.

Many economic factors outside of their control have left this 3-generation family nearly bankrupt and searching for a miracle. - Sponsorships support security for the United States. Military relations between Israel and the United States have been consistently close, reflecting shared security interests in the Middle East. The IDF and the U.S. Army are involved in the joint development of military technology and regularly engage in joint military exercises. Although Israel lives at the focal point of some of the biggest security challenges facing the free world, they remain one of the most innovative and prosperous countries in the world.
