Planting in the Storm

Planting in the Storm

“He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap.

“As you do not know what is the way of the wind, or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, so you do not know the works of God who makes everything.

In the morning sow your seed, and in the evening do not withhold your hand; for you do not know which will prosper, either this or that, or whether both alike will be good.”—Ecclesiastes 11:4-6

These verses remind us of the importance of remaining steadfast in our planting and our sowing of seed. Only seed that is sown can generate a harvest—seed in your pocket remains dormant. If we allow circumstances to dictate our actions or hinder us from planting our seeds, we will have no seed in the ground to bear fruit.

Without seed, there is no harvest.

The enemy uses storms as distractions to keep us from moving in the direction God has called us. Solomon reminds us to sow anyway; plant anyway; and trust God regardless!

“In the morning, sow your seed and the evening do not withhold”—even more so in the midst of the storms. When we sow our seed in the midst of storms, we are demonstrating our trust in the Almighty and His plan.

My Olive Tree is planting, sowing, and reaping on sunny days and stormy days. Our sponsors are giving gifts, and sowing seed, to celebrate life’s accomplishments and to remember the more difficult seasons full of bleak moments and hard decisions.

Our sponsors celebrate the gift of marriage and new life with an olive tree in Israel as a symbol of hope, joy, and a future!

But our sponsors also plant olive trees in memory of loved ones who have passed, or in the name of those standing in faith and believing for a miracle.

Morning and evening we are sowing—believing that our groves will prosper along with the lives of all of our generous sponsors.

If you are going through a difficult time and would like to sponsor an olive tree as a seed of faith for breakthrough, please call us. We can help you with your sponsorship, and agree with you in prayer: 800-334-3132.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a partnership between the Evangelical community and the nation of Israel; this partnership will produce employment, income, and revenue for humanitarian aid projects in Israel. We envision the planting of one-million olive trees over the next seven years. This relationship was prophesied in the Bible centuries ago, that the foreigners and strangers (those not of Jewish descent) would help rebuild the walls of Israel and cause the desert to bloom (Isa 35:1). Among other things, this reforestation is an environmental blessing for the entire region. May all who participate in this project be blessed body, soul and spirit; it is time for you to take root in Israel!
