Why Bless Israel?

When we bless Israel and pray for Jerusalem, we open ourselves up to blessing, prosperity, and peace. What we make happen for God’s chosen land and children—who God has so graciously grafted us into—God will make happen for us. It is a simple truth, but easily forgotten in a world and indeed, even the Body, where Israel is not loved, nor her people. Yet, what amazing blessings when we realize the God-given importance of Israel, Jerusalem, and her people!
When YOU give of your time, your finances, and your prayers to build up Israel, Jerusalem, and her people, YOU are guaranteed blessings from God. Because, as Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?”
God is truthful, sure, and when He promises us blessings, prosperity, and peace when we do the small thing of blessing and praying for Israel, Jerusalem, and her people… then God will see it done. It is as simple as that and far more secure than any investment we could find on earth.
Yet, blessing and praying for a land, city, and people for the sake of getting something for ourselves is not the main reason we should do these things. Indeed, it is less for ourselves and more for Kingdom good! Because, what YOU bring about when you support the planting and care of an olive tree or grape vine is filling needs—producing jobs, produce, and economy—AND it is bringing to life the biblical prophecy of Ezekiel 39, Amos 9, Isaiah 35, AND Isaiah 49!
“The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
and the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose;
it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice,
even with joy and singing…”—Isaiah 35:1-2
Through the support of people like YOU, the prophecy given by Isaiah in Chapter 35 is beginning to occur. What was once primarily desolate land—nearly all of the land of Israel 100 years ago—is coming to life, and indeed, even much of the desert is starting to bloom.
Through people like YOU, My Olive Tree is planting olive trees and grape vines in the desert, causing the land to blossom as a rose, and for an economy to flourish!
When you support an olive tree or grape vine through My Olive Tree, you do more than plant them then run… you provide support to see the tree or vine safely through the early stages of growth. Further, you are not merely doing as many do, giving money but failing to solve the root cause of lack, YOU provide jobs. YOU allow those you are helping to help themselves; not giving handouts and expecting things to somehow get better for them in the long run, but instead providing livelihoods and much needed income through the labor of their hands!
Yes, YOU support the planting and initial care of the tree or vine, but you are doing so much more. Because those who receive the plants want to work. The leaders of the nation of Israel want their people and nation to be able to support themselves… the need rests in the ability to start doing that. YOU provide the leg-up so that they can rise above their circumstances and help not only themselves, but the nation’s economy!

Israel faces opposition on nearly every move they make. They are surrounded by nations who would take advantage of any weakness. And, as of the first part of June, 2020, the nation of Israel remains closed to tourism—one of their key economic industries…
