Why My Olive Tree? This work is fulfilling Biblical prophecy!

blood red moonMany people have asked us about the importance of planting olive trees and grapevines in the desert. Of course, the most important aspect of this work is fulfilling Biblical prophecy. You see, thousands of years ago, the Prophets of the Old Testament, Isaiah and Amos in particular, were shown visions of Israel’s future.

“‘On that day I will raise up
The tabernacle of David, which has fallen down,
And repair its damages;

I will raise up its ruins,
And rebuild it as in the days of old;

That they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,”
Says the Lord who does this thing.

“Behold, the days are coming,’ says the Lord,
 ‘When the plowman shall overtake the reaper,

And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
The mountains shall drip with sweet wine,
And all the hills shall flow with it.

I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them;

They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them;
They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them.

I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up
From the land I have given them,’ Says the Lord your God.”- Amos 9:11-15

“The wilderness and the wasteland shall be glad for them,
And the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the rose.” – Isaiah 35:1

This revelation of hope and prosperity was literally downloaded into the minds of these men by God Himself. Throughout the history of the Jewish people, through extreme circumstances, as they faced the extinction, these words have continued to inspire confidence in their covenant-keeping God—the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—who promised to restore their homeland.

Since 1948, when the Jewish state was re-established after thousands of years of exile, the tiny nation of Israel has never ceased to move forward with ever increasing momentum to regain their status as a sovereign Jewish and Democratic state.

Amidst much controversy, Israel continues to fight a global battle against hatred and anti-Semitism. It is for this reason that we desire to plant in the dry and thirsty desert. As Believers in Christ, we wish to partner with God’s “Chosen People” —to revitalize the land while blessing the Israeli people. The proceeds from the harvesting of our olive groves and vineyards have allowed us to continue important humanitarian work geared toward the nation of Israel and beyond.

It is only through supporters, like you, that we are able to provide housing for abandoned children, help support Holocaust survivors, feed needy families, provide Passover and other holiday meals to residents who cannot afford them, donate much needed medical equipment, fund a school for students with special needs, paint and remodel homes for the elderly, and the list continues.

So when we are asked the question “Why My Olive Tree?” We must ask a question in return. Why not?

During this critical time in history won’t you partner with us to take a stand for Israel’s right to existence in the Holy Land? Won’t you join us as we fulfill the words spoken by the Prophets of old that the desert, will indeed, blossom once again?
