Contribute to the My Olive Tree: A Curt Landry Ministries Project

August 16, 2018 by

We know that God values your life and the lives of others. It’s incredible to witness how He pulls life from one side of the world to help another on the other side. He does this for us to realize the impact we have on each other.

Have you ever thought about what message your contribution says to those who need hope today? What is most important to you when you give to help others? You want to know that your gift isn’t simply a bandage for a problem, but is being invested in a way that contributes to a long-term solution—that your dollar will harvest more than is sown, gaining value and momentum with every seed.

Your gift leaves a legacy in the lives of those who have fought to keep their land free of terrorism while aiding in the protection of our nation’s borders. It provides necessities for those who have little means to care for their homes or themselves by allowing repairs to be completed in their living spaces and essential self-care items to be purchased.

Every choice you make leaves an impact. Don’t let the opportunity of impacting a life pass you by today. Every second adds up to a day, and every penny adds up to changing a life. If the commitment is your hesitation, trust that My Olive Tree, a Curt Landry Ministries project, works closely with the City of Jerusalem and the Israeli Defense Forces to ensure that the contributions and the trees planted throughout Israel are used to provide jobs, income, and long-term environmental conservation efforts that are passed down to the next generation.

Abraham Lincoln once said, “The best way to predict your future is to create it.” This is what we are doing in Israel, contributing to their future, knowing it will impact ours.

While your contribution may seem small or insignificant, any amount adds up to major gains. Be proud of the difference you made in a life today—a life that will not be forgotten because you decided to give. When you give, you are doing your part to strengthen a nation that we are told in the Bible will prevail. You are providing real-life needs to so many as your contribution, along with others, combine to alter the course of a life, a family, and a nation.

Olive Tree Sapling Planted in Israel

January 1, 2014 by

When you sponsor an olive tree sapling that is planted in a kibbutzim or on an IDF base in Israel, you are…

Taking an Active Role in Prophetic Fulfillment

  • It allows you to tell others about your beliefs and God’s faithful promises.
  • It allows you to connect with the Holy Land in a tangible way.
  • It allows you to put your prayers into action and look forward to ushering in the coming King (Psalm 122:6-7, Zechariah 2:10-33).

Making Your Political Voice Heard

  • It allows you to take a physical stand with Israel, politically and militarily.
  • It allows you to tell others about your political views and show how you back them.
  • It allows you to honor a loved one whose life you respected because of their devotion to their nation.

Ensuring Economic Growth and Stability

  • It allows you to influence the current and future economic culture in areas such as the Gaza Strip and Golan Heights.
  • It allows you to have peace of mind that you are sowing seeds into an economically sound nation.
  • It allows you to provide jobs that will help the nation of Israel grow, thus improving our nation’s political and economic security.

Commemorating an Important Event in Your Life

  • It allows you to attach your event and family to the Holy Land.
  • It allows you to mark memorable moments beyond a simple photograph.
  • It allows your event to bless others for generations to come.

Creating a Lasting Way to Remember a Loved One

  • It allows you to give your loved one physical roots in the Holy Land.
  • It allows you to feel comforted knowing others will be blessed by your loved one.
  • It allows you to pass on the legacy of your loved one.

Honoring a Holocaust Survivor

  • It allows you to impact a life that has endured unimaginable trauma.
  • It allows you to take a stand for justice in this world.
  • It allows you to give God’s chosen the lasting gift of legacy.

Read this sponsor’s impact story…

Steve works at a local community care center where Sherman Ray, a Holocaust survivor, lives. Sherman was greatly shaken up and unable to sleep after hearing about shootings and acts of anti-Semitism on the news. After talking with Sherman, Steve and his family wanted to do something. They decided to sponsor an olive tree in Sherman’s name.

Steve says, “[Sherman] proudly placed [the certificate] on his wall.” Sherman’s spirit is soothed knowing there are people who care and act in peaceful ways even when the world seems dark. Sherman recently celebrated his 98th birthday and still works 30+ hours a week in his tailor shop.

Though it does not erase the past, planting a tree in honor of a Holocaust victim or survivor does ensure that their life will never be forgotten. Instead, their memory will live on in the form of an olive tree or grapevine that will not only give fruit for generations to come but also help restore the land for the Messiah’s return.

What Does It Mean to Sponsor an Olive Tree or Grapevine?

It means you are sponsoring a tree or grapevine in the Holy Land soil so that your cause, your voice, and your beliefs are physically tied to Israel. As a result, Israel is blessed and reaps a harvest year after year through the tree or grapevine you chose to sponsor. And you can hold on to the promises of Genesis 12:3: “I will bless those who bless you…”\

Are you ready to make a difference and leave a lasting legacy in the Holy Land? Don’t wait for an opportunity to get involved in God’s plan of land restoration. We are truly seeing the seeds of our sponsors multiplied physically and spiritually as they bless Israel—just as God promises (Genesis 12:3).

Sponsor a Grapevine in the Negev Desert of Israel

June 9, 2014 by

It takes several months to prepare the vine cuttings so that they are ready to be planted and strong enough to withstand the desert climate and thrive in the soil of the Negev.

We start with a cutting of a vine growing in the Negev.

grapevine project

We then plant it, wait for it to grow, transfer it into a bigger pot, and repeat this process until it can be moved out of its planter and into the earth—where it can take root in ancient Edom and survive in this blessed land!

Grapevines have a rich and symbolic history. The grapevine is used throughout biblical text symbolizing an abundant land, fertility, and prosperity.

Jesus speaks of Himself as the “true vine” and teaches that we bear good fruit through Him.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”—John 15:1-4

sponsor a grapevine in the negev desertIn the Old Testament, when Moses sent the spies into the land of Canaan, we see the bountiful harvest of grapes, as it took 2 men to carry one cluster!

“Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs.”—Numbers 13:23

This is the heart behind our grapevine projects. To bring to life the “good fruit” of the Lord and to be a part of His work and restoration in Israel so that the land will flourish and be plentiful like it did when Moses saw the bumper crop of grapes!

Each vine creates an opportunity for planting, growing, harvesting, selling, shipping, labeling, distribution, etc…

We are asking YOU to join us in our efforts. We are asking YOU to participate in this My Olive Tree project.
