My Olive Tree is not the only organization that plants olive trees throughout Israel. However, it is our mission and the way we operate our groves that truly sets us apart from the rest.
All of our trees are planted not only to produce a bountiful harvest for the people of Israel but also to physically restore the land that has been swallowed up by desert over the last several hundred years. We don’t just allow sponsored trees to wither and die in the desert… Thanks to the partnership we have established with the nation of Israel, our trees benefit from outstanding irrigation by way of state-of-the-art technology, which allows them to grow and thrive just as they were designed to do. The result: flourishing groves that are bringing the land back to its intended health.
Local farmers, nurseries, immigrant workers, soldiers, and irrigation companies are all a crucial part of our system for watering and caring for our trees so that they continue to grow, mature, and produce plenty of fruit year in and year out, even in this arid region of the Negev Desert.
As a result, our groves and annual harvests are able to create an undeniably positive effect on the local economy and environment, and on the spirit of the people of Israel who live near these groves.

Partnership with Israel
It is not just about the processes we use and our commitment to restoring the land that makes our work so unique. We have also been privileged to have the opportunity to partner with the City of Jerusalem and the Israel Defense Forces. This partnership allows us access to the resources and land needed to be able to one day reach our goal of planting a million olive trees in Israel.
Our ministry has also received important endorsements from the Israeli Ministry of Agriculture and the Israeli Olive Oil Board.
Many of our trees are planted on Israeli army bases, including perhaps our most important grove, the Peace Grove, which we planted over a site that previously was a terror tunnel used to smuggle weapons and enemy combatants into Israel. The aim is to give hope to the area’s soldiers and citizens, as well as to demonstrate peace and solidarity.
